Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Disaster

I am Sam, Japanese native living in Massachusetts in US many years.   Last month I was in Japan.  It was a wonderful trip, and I came back to the United States on March 6.   4 days later a huge earthquake hit northern part of main island of Japan.  The earthquake did not damage buildings and infrastructures and did not kill many people, but the earthquake caused huge tsunami which wiped out cities and villages along  the 200 miles coast line. The tsunami was so powerful and 30-foot, 100 miles deans could not stop it.  It killed hundreds and thousands people there at once.   And, Tsunami hit a nuclear power plant, and swiped all its electric power so that nuclear reactor lost its control and busted which now causes radioactive contamination around the nuclear power plant.

It was very sad event. It happened in Japan, but it can happen anywhere including Massachusetts in US where I live. I decided to start a blog because I wanted to help the victims in the disaster area  although I live far from the disaster area, and also share the things I learn from the disaster with you with my hope and wish that the information will help you to prepare for earthquake and tsunami which may happen in the future.

I collected information about the disaster and put it in a web site,  http:// www.japannature.com which I originally created to introduce beautiful nature of Japan. If you are interesting in the the earthquake and tsunami disaster, please visit the web site and learn what happened in the disaster.  I also put a link for donation for the victims. The donation is going to RED CROSS through Google.  If you want to help the victims, please click the link and make a donation for the victims through RED CROSS.

Thank you for giving your attention to the tsunami and earthquake's victims.

Sam
